After the stupendous commercial and critical success of CHAK DE! INDIA, Shah Rukh Khan is now busy with the initial promotion of his next release, the 35-crore OM SHANTI OM.

Not only that, the patchwork shooting of the film is also being done simultaneously. The next project that King Khan will shoot for is Rajkumar Hirani’s film, which may commence in December. But what after that?

As per media reports, early next year, Shah Rukh Khan is likely to finalize his next project with close family friend, Karan Johar. The film in question is obviously the realistic, KHAN (working title). (more…)

Shah Rukh Khan does not give up easily. After the mixed response to his ‘Don’, King Khan is all set to make a sequel to the film.

The film will be produced by his production company “Red Chillies” in association with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s “Excel Entertainment”.

Farhan will also direct the film, which will have an all-new star cast and will hit theatres around the country late next year. (more…)

Unfortunately though sources claim the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra may be replaced with the lissome Sushmita Sen as one of the heroines in the film.

“Shahrukh has told me he is not producing Don 2,” admitted Farhan Akhtar to indiaFM today during a promotional event for his production (Excel Entertainment) Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai. Basking in the radiance of new born baby girl just eight days ago, Akhtar looked extremely pleased with life and raring to go.

So, when is he launching his next directorial venture? “i have been consumed by an idea for the last couple of years. We plan to start it in October if all goes well.” Have you thought of a title for the film? “We have a working title Voice from the Sky. it’s been scripted by me and co-written by Rajesh Devraj.” (more…)

Farhan Akhtar is making ‘Don 2′ is a common knowledge now. Like ‘Don’, in ‘Don 2′ also, Shah Rukh Khan will play the title role, but in different look.

As per a close source, SRK will grow moustache and beard for the role so that Sriman ‘Don’ can look rude and cruel rather than his suave lady-charming avatar in the first film.

Who’s making DON 2? There are murmurs that SRK is keen to make the sequel to DON, with Farhan Akhtar in the director’s seat. Also, there’s talk that Chandra Barot, the director of the Big B starrer DON, has already started work on the sequel and has also approached Bachchan to enact the central role in DON 2: THE RETURN OF THE KiNG.

“Not true at all,” Barot shoots back, even before i complete my question, “is it possible for me to surpass DON? He [Bachchan] won a popular award for the film in question and in my opinion, it’s difficult for him to supersede that performance in our next film together. Could Ramesh Sippy outdo SHOLAY?”

So the news is untrue? “Absolutely! Trust me, i don’t have a clue how it originated in the first place. it’s being said that i called him [Bachchan], narrated the story on phone and he okayed it instantly. it’s humbug. i never did such a thing,” he swears. (more…)

it’s raining Dons these days. Even before the news of Shah Rukh Khan planning a sequel of Don with Farhan Akhtar has died down, the director of the original Don, Chandra Barot is planning Don 2 - The Return of the King.

Barot agreed he plans to get back to direction after a hiatus of 28 years. But he denied the news of making the sequel. After a pause, he asked, “Who told you about Don 2?”

When told that a source informed us, he said, “it is just speculation.” According to the source, the film will feature Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. (more…)
